I love doing sessions at our acreage when the wild flowers are in full bloom. Amy looked stunning in a cropped green dress and booties as well as her champagne bridesmaid dress she made use of once more!
This expecting momma is glowing. Her friend Lindsey was able to do hair and make up. It's so important to invest in professional hair and make up to look and feel gorgeous for your session! What momma doesn't deserve some self care and pampering!
Summer seems to be the time of year for family get togethers and extended family sessions!
When I asked this group about a preferred location, the Saskatoon Meewasin trail is a place where they have taken many family walks, including a family proposal 20 years ago!
When it comes to what to wear with large groups it's best to keep it to a few coordinating colors like blue, grey and pink like this family. Best to stay away from labels and crazy patterns.
This family was so much fun to work with. Candace and I actually go way back, over 10 years ago when we both worked for the Saskatoon Public School system. It's always an honor to photograph extended family sessions, plus her parents were celebrating 50 YEARS! She mentioned that their family had never had professional photos done. I was glad to have captured this special anniversary and their families memories!
I was honored when Elisha asked me to photograph her family. She is the owner of Elisha Guest Photography and has been my mentor to help me grow my business for the last 5 months. To photograph your mentor, friend and another photographer can be very intimidating, but this woman has a way of putting everyone at ease.
Elisha made the trip down from Regina just for our session. The family looked sharp dressed in white and blue.
The boys were energetic to say the least.
When photographing, kids it's best just to go with the flow. Our session included playing toilet tag, hip checks, a farting contest and cuddles with mom. I think the results are stunning and so is this momma. The love that this mom has for her little boys is obvious!
We took these photos on our acreage, complete with horses in the distance, fences, long grass, our rock wall and plenty of space to run free. It's a perfect setting for active kids!
Congratulations to Paige on her high school graduation. She plans on attending the U of S in the fall and that is where we did her session! The University grounds are so beautiful. We had perfect weather and light! The end results are gorgeous, and so is that dress.
"As you start your journey, the first thing you should do is throw away that store-bought map and begin to draw your own."
To kick off graduation season I started off with my own niece's session! The first of 18 sessions I have. It's a busy but exciting time of year! Kyla will be attending University in the fall, she aspires to be a Dr. She will also be living in the dorms, a great way to meet and make new friends!
We started off at Boffins Club, one of my favorite places. She was even able to borrow grandpas new car for some shots! We then headed to downtown Saskatoon to get some very cool graffeti shots! The result, PERFECT! Congratulations Kyla and good luck with your future adventure!
